Patrick Macmanus

Currently in the ninth year of his overall deal at Universal Content Productions, Patrick serves as the creator, showrunner and executive producer of Peacock’s upcoming series Vigilante as well as the second season of Devil in Disguise: The Nightstalker, about Richard Ramirez. Additional projects in development include The Boys From Biloxi, an adaptation of John Grisham’s blockbuster best-selling book about the Dixie Mafia for Amazon; Spotlight, a workplace drama about the investigative journalists of the Boston Globe co-created with Nick Bilton; Skakel, a new true crime limited series co-created with LaToya Morgan and The Wedding Sting, also for Peacock.

Macmanus most recently served as creator, executive producer, showrunner and director on The Devil in Disguise: John Wayne Gacy for Peacock, as well as creator, executive producer and showrunner of the Critics Choice Awards-nominated Dr. Death for Peacock and as co-creator, executive producer and co-showrunner, alongside Liz Hannah, on the Critics Choice Awards-nominated The Girl from Plainville for Hulu. Macmanus has developed series at ABC, AMC, CBS, Fox Television Studios, NBC, Sony Pictures Television, Starz and many more. He previously worked on SYFY’s Happy! starring Chris Meloni and Netflix’s Marco Polo.

In 2021, Macmanus expanded his production company, Littleton Road Productions, and formed Littleton Road Philanthropy with the goal of extracting cultural, social and economic themes embedded in the scripted shows and reimagining those themes as opportunities to educate and empower viewers as individuals who engage in the world around them.
