Democratic Political Strategist; Founder, One Blue Hill
Jordan C. Brown is a seasoned political strategist working at the intersection of politics, technology, and entertainment to drive progressive social change. As the founder of One Blue Hill he partners with culture shapers, business leaders, and elected officials to achieve innovative advocacy and philanthropic goals.
For more than two decades Jordan has advised local, state, and national political campaigns. In 2004 he joined Secretary John Kerry’s presidential campaign, working on the finance and field teams. In 2008 and 2012 Jordan advised President Obama’s campaigns, raising money and helping to engage celebrity surrogates. He spoke on a White House panel in December 2012 about how cultural leaders can partner with government to build support for policy change. He served on Hillary Clinton’s Entertainment Advisory Council and was a member of her National Finance Committee. For President Biden and Vice President Harris’s campaign, he served on the National Finance Committee, the Innovation Policy Working Group, and the Entertainment Advisory Council.
Over the years Jordan has advanced legislation and advocacy campaigns for issues as diverse as clean energy, early detection of cancer, self-esteem, LGBTQ rights, gun violence prevention, mental health, poverty, immigration, and HIV prevention. After the 2016 election he worked with leaders of the Democratic party to revamp messaging and strategies.
In 2020 Jordan was awarded the prestigious Edmund Hillary Fellowship, which – in partnership with the government of New Zealand – incubates solutions to global problems by assembling a diverse and innovative group of entrepreneurs from around the world.
Jordan graduated from Stanford University, where he studied Political Science and English. Jordan is a California native who lives in Los Angeles with his husband Colton, their son Bishop, and their dogs Zooka and Scout.
