Jennifer Fischer

Writer, Filmmaker and Educator

Jennifer Fischer is a writer, filmmaker, and educator whose films have screened across the U.S. and abroad. Her work has been featured by NBCLatino, ABC, Univision, NBCBLK. She produced, Smuggled, a feature film about immigration. The film was a multi-award winning film on the festival circuit and screened at more than 60 campuses across the United States and in the Caribbean. Her narrative short film about solitary confinement premiered at Amnesty International’s 50th Anniversary Human Rights Conference. As an educator, she has developed curriculum for LA’s BEST, the Metta Center for Nonviolence, and the Outreach Center for the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at Harvard University, where she received her M.A. She holds a B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College. She is currently the Executive Director of Journeys In Film and the Co-Founder of Think Ten Media Group. She lives in Albuquerque, NM with her partner, two children and a teacup chihuahua.
