Deputy Project Director, Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs
Jane Brown has contributed to the success of CCP’s (Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs) social and behavior change initiatives for over 28 years. Her extensive experience includes the development of Entertainment Education programs using various forms of media and the design of a transformational gender prototype that has been successfully implemented in over a dozen countries.
She has overseen and provided technical support to country programs throughout Africa and in Asia addressing maternal child health, HIV/AIDS, malaria, reproductive health, Ebola and most recently COVID-19. Currently she is the Deputy Project Director for USAID’s flagship Social and Behavior Change (SBC) project, Breakthrough ACTION. In her former life, she worked as a radio and video producer.
