Actor “Entourage”, “House of Cards”, Director and Advocate
Emmy nominated actress, director and advocate Constance Zimmer has had great versatility throughout her career and is well-known for playing a number of unfiltered, unapologetic characters. Most awarded role was starring as Quinn King in the Peabody award winning and one of AFI’s top 10 shows, “UnREAL.” Constance garnered a Primetime Emmy® nomination, won the Critics’ Choice Award, was nominated again for the second season and made her directorial debut in the third season, to then continue to direct in the fourth and final season.
Constance’s advocacy for getting women’s stories in midlife noticed began when she hit her 50’s and could barely find stories for women over 50. In October on the one year anniversary of the Variety announcement of Constance and Abby Epstein’s doc-theater collaboration on “The Midlife Monologues” now in development, they announced co-founding a media company “The Midlife Collective,” a movement meant to elevate and uplift the narrative around women and aging through community storytelling. Both projects aim to shatter the silence surrounding midlife, using their entertainment industry platforms to make some noise. They have been gathering stories from their creative community of famous actors, writers, directors and producers, along with CEOs, doctors and women worldwide about the struggles and triumphs of midlife. She also launched a podcast with pro-aging social media influencer and writer Heidi Clements, “Talk Fifty To Me,” reframing your 50’s fiercely with funny and frank conversations.
She recently finished filming the Ryan Murphy anthology series “Love Story,” along with season 4 of the Netflix hit series “The Lincoln Lawyer;” both will premiere in February. She also returned to her recurring role on CBS’ “Fire Country,” starred in the Amazon series “Harlan Coben’s: Shelter;” David E. Kelley’s “Big Sky,” and “The Calling,” as well as a few seasons of “Good Trouble.” Zimmer also directed several episodes of the latter series.
