Christina Lee Storm is an award-winning producer and senior media & entertainment executive recognized for her groundbreaking work at the intersection of storytelling and technology spanning television, film, animation, documentaries, virtual reality, augmented reality, and XR.
Co-Founder of ASHER XR and PLAYBOOK, she leads her companies strategically, creatively, and ethically to integrate emerging technologies like real-time, virtual production, and AI into linear, digital, and multi-platform storytelling. She has a track record of pioneering and driving innovation in content creation and creativity for studio IP and franchises at Netflix, Universal, DreamWorks.
As former Head of Virtual Production UCAN at Netflix, Christina fostered innovation in content creation and creativity for the studio’s IP and franchises across Netflix’s series, films, live, unscripted, experiences, ads, and ancillary content. Notable titles include “Avatar: The Last Airbender,” “Back in Action” and “Rez Ball.” Christina was also responsible for strategically building and overseeing virtual production ecosystems, spaces, and stages around the world and collaborated with filmmakers and industry partners to drive growth and innovation adoption.
While at Universal and DreamWorks Animation, Christina was Vice President of Business Operations, Strategy, & Emerging Technology, where she championed the future of real-time content creation. She produced three award-winning VR experiences for the ‘How to Train Your Dragon’ franchise, AR projects for ‘Trolls World Tour’ and ‘Abominable’, and an interactive theme-park ‘Kung Fu Panda’ experience for Universal Studios Beijing. As Vice President of Production Technology Management, Christina oversaw the development of the ‘next generation’ animation feature pipeline, artist workflows, and studio adoption.
Beyond her work in emerging media, Christina is passionate about thought-provoking films having produced“ Solitary” starring David Oyelowo with BRON Studios, and documentaries “Life After Pi,” and “Jurassic Punk.” Her collaborations span the globe, contributing to acclaimed productions like “The Artist,” “Snow White and the Huntsman” and “Life of Pi.”
Christina is Governor of the Television Academy’s Emerging Media Programming peer group and is regarded as a pivotal leader for next generation programming. She currently sits on Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass’ Entertainment Industry Council, the Mayor’s Workforce Development Sub-Committee, the Producers Guild of America’s Production Innovation Task Force, and the Television Academy’s AI Task Force. She sits on the Board of Directors for Wedgwood Circle and is also on the Advisor Panel for AI company Runway ML’s Hundred Film Fund.
Christina is globally recognized as a thought leader in the emerging media landscape and is frequently invited to deliver keynote speeches at prestigious events such as the Cannes Film Festival, Geneva International Film Festival, and the Picture This Conference in Copenhagen. Recognized for her leadership and dedication to the industry, Christina was inducted into AWE’s inaugural XR Hall of Fame, received the Lumiere Distinguished Leadership Award in Technology, and she is a proud Founding Member of DreamWorks Animation’s TECHWomen.
