Ameet Shukla is the Head of Content for 1Community – an entertainment production and co-finance company using the power of commercial entertainment to drive real-world impact. Most recently he produced the Stephen Chbosky film NONNAS which will be coming to Netflix in 2025. He also produced the political comedy WINNER starring Emilia Jones, Connie Britton and Zach Galifianakis — on Hulu this December. During his tenure, 1Comunity produced two Tony-nominated plays on Broadway, POTUS and the revival of Ntozake Shange’s FOR COLORED GIRLS WHO HAVE CONSIDERED SUICIDE WHEN THE RAINBOW IS ENUF.

Previously he served as the President of Production for Michael Shamberg’s MAS Production where he produced the action-comedy COLD PURSUIT starring Liam Neeson. Prior to that, he served as the Vice President of Production for Shamberg and Stacey Sher’s Double Feature Films where he produced FREEHELD starring Julianne Moore and Elliot Page, and Zach Braff’s sophomore film WISH I WAS HERE starring Braff, Kate Hudson, and Joey King. Ameet is a board member of Out in Hollywood, an initiative focused on promoting LGBTQ+ representation and inclusion within the entertainment industry.

He is also a member of The Salon, an alliance of Hollywood professionals increasing South Asian representation throughout all facets of the entertainment industry. He is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara Film & Media Studies Program. Ameet currently lives in Los Angeles.
