This session explores the design of social impact entertainment in challenging contexts and how co-creation, strategic distribution, and evidence-based practice can drive meaningful social change when traditional approaches fall short.
Graciela Leal will discuss designing media with and for young people in the U.S. juvenile justice system who lack access to reproductive health information. Aziz Deldar will share the process behind a new television show for girls in Afghanistan living under severe restrictions.
Moderated by Aric Noboa, the panel will offer practical tools for storytellers creating media to shift norms even where access, resources, and freedom are limited.
Attendees will leave with actionable insights on how to incorporate co-design into their own projects and how to craft and distribute stories that resonate in markets where traditional models and workflows are difficult or impossible.
