Animation provides a unique way of telling stories and offers diverse and creative ways to be inclusive of characters and experiences that can reach a wide range of audiences. The LEGO® Group, leaders in the field of educational toys and animated programs have contributed to positive childhood development through their diverse and inclusive approach to play. As Pharrell Williams, who chose to tell his life’s story using LEGO minifigures said “I just wanted it to be done in LEGO because I wanted it to be universal”. She Creates Change, is a groundbreaking animation and live action series showcasing girls’ resilience and ability to overcome seemingly insurmountable challenges. Panelists will discuss how animation and play can be used to tell universal stories that can deepen audience’s understanding of themselves and others and positively influence their actions to improve their lives and those around them.
